Default Ayr (Queensland) had a 5.5 Earthquake!
I was out mowing and I looked up and my OH was waving madly to me.

He told me Ayr had a 5.5 shake and it was felt as far as Mackay

Holy hell!!

You are kidding ... not. This is awful. Is there mining or exploration of any kind going on at all in the area - (I'm aware of the recent flooding up there etc but just trying to draw links)?

Well actually the ABC News said it was 5.2, so OH was out slightly

They said the epicentre was 124 km South East of Townsville.

bingo - Yes there are Mines up that way, more around Bowen but no matter what they did it wouldn't cause it to quake that far (I don't think!)

I was at Nebo yesterday. By gollies everything shook 'the ground trembled'! My brothers fans were even shaking.
